Last week was going to be the last one. But due to popular demand, we are going to continue throughout the Summer months. So, don't forget the Friday night meat raffle at The Barley Mow, meat supplied by the award winning Hyde Orchard farm shop in Churt. Tickets available at the bar. All proceeds going to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Wednesday November 13th at 7.30pm

Due to popular demand, we will now be running our pub quiz twice a month, being the second Wednesday and the last Wednesday of each month. The new second Wednesday quiz will have a slightly different format (including: spot prizes, joker rounds, opt-out rounds etc). Test your knowledge with family and friends. Make sure you book because it gets very busy!!!

Thursday November 21st

We are reserecting an old favourite from the 80's: Beaujolais Nouveau Day.

Mack & Stuart will be travelling to France to collect the much sort after Beaujolais Nouveau. They will then race back with it ready to plonk on your dining tables for 7pm. We plan to have a French themed menu and some appropriate music on the  night (dancing is optional). The menu will appear on our website ASAP so keep an eye out. This will be a ticketed event with a pre-order required.

December 2nd to 24th (Excluding Sundays)

Thinking of having a works Christmas party or a festive family get together. Look no further than the Barley Mow. We can cater for 1 to 44 guests and include a DJ if required. Take a look at our menu page for this year's Festive delights and make sure you book early.

Thursday December 12th at 7.30pm 

Join us for our renound wine club. Our wine sommelier Nina will be presenting an amazing selection of wines paired with some mouth-watering delights from the Barley Mow Kitchen. Make sure you book for this unforgettable evening. 

December 31st

Celebrate the New Year in style at the Barley Mow. This year we will have a special celebratory menu, champagne, live singer, quiz of the year in the break and maybe fireworks. So bring the family, bring friends and see in 2025 with a bang. This will be a ticketed event, with the menu and further details available on our website shortly.

Saturday January 25th

We will be holding a charity Burn's Night celebratory dinner at the Institute Hall. Guests will arrive at the Barley Mow for pre-dinner drinks, then follow a candlelight procession lead by the evenings piper across the green to the Institute for cocktails. The Haggis will be addressed at 7.30pm followed by a Scottish themed meal and dancing. Fundraising events are planned throughout the evening. More details will appear on our website shortly.
